You’re invited to apply for Periscope: Rural Artist Development!
We’re excited to invite you to apply for the first-ever cohort of a new professional development opportunity for rural Tennessee artists hosted by the Arts & Business Council and supported by funding from the Tennessee Arts Commission.
Periscope: Rural Artist Development (RAD) is an intensive, online training and mentorship program uniquely designed to be a transformative experience empowering rural artists with the entrepreneurial skills to help them thrive.
Periscope RAD artists receive:
• Training: 8 weeks of professional development training customized for artists living in *rural counties;
• Exchange: Artists share best practices with interdisciplinary peers through small group work;
• Mentorship: Each artist is paired one-on-one with a high-caliber mentor for six months;
• Exposure: Year-round opportunities to celebrate the work of alumni artists through the Arts & Business Council and Tennessee Arts Commission.
• Free Tuition: The program fee is waived due to the generous support of the Tennessee Arts Commission.
HOW TO APPLY This program is only available to artists living and working in *Rural Counties in TN (see below). We recommend reviewing the guidelines and questions in full before starting the application process. Program details, dates for all training sessions, and the application can be found at:
