South Central Tennessee Development District launched an analysis of resources available in the 13 counties of the region and within the State of Tennessee and other possible partners to enhance entrepreneurial enterprises. With the understanding that small businesses and their owners provide necessary local goods and services, support existing employees and families, stimulate new job creation and develop crucial innovations in products and services for rural people and communities, the project was developed to identify and deploy resources, create a cadre of people across county borders who could collaborate and share resources and to gain an understanding of the prevalence of entrepreneurial activity in the region.
